Cable outlet DIY ideas

In order to hide your cable mess as best as possible, we present you with a small DIY guide here, with which you can easily install the cable outlet. Don't worry, drilling a hole is easier than you think.

You'll need:

• SAMOS cable outlet
• Core drill (Ø 67 mm or Ø 80 mm)
• Cordless screwdriver
• Adapter holder
• Vacuum cleaner
• Safety goggles

Here's how to install the cable outlet:

1. The core drill and the adapter holder both have threads, which you first screw together.
2. To fix the two elements, tighten the grub screw on the adapter holder with the flathead screwdriver.
3. Insert the core drill with adapter holder into the cordless screwdriver.
4. Now center the core drill and drill the through hole. Make sure to apply gentle and even pressure and avoid swinging movements.
5. Now simply press the cable outlet into the hole. To secure everything, glue the cable outlet.

More tips for less chaos in the workplace:

• Before you start, think carefully about where you want to install the cable outlet on your furniture and where it serves its purpose most effectively. It is best to first pencil in the positions and then see if they work in practice.
• You can also install multiple cable outlets side by side and in different colors if you want to hide a lot of cables.
• In addition, you have the option to bundle the cables with reusable cable ties. This further improves organization.
