With over 50 employees, Heimwerkertools is a leading online retailer for building and furniture fittings in the German-speaking region. Our company primarily offers high-quality branded articles 'Made In Germany' and EU for ambitious DIY enthusiasts and small specialist businesses. Heimwerkertools is characterised by a high level of specialist expertise and a very broad niche range.

For us, sustainability is an essential part of our philosophy and our actions: we purchase 100% green electricity, invest in electric cars, use only sustainable packaging materials and ship CO2-neutral to our customers.

Heimwerkertools.com | Our company history

• 2014: After 12 years of experience of the managing director in the field of building and furniture fittings, the idea came up to move with the times and to offer home builders, do-it-yourselfers and renovators also online everything they need for their own home.
• 2015: Starting up on his own, first launch from the living room.
  10-20 packages per week as a 1-man operation.
• 2016: Heimwerkertools.com gets its first company location in a 50m² self-storage warehouse. A first employee helps to manage the increasing number of orders
  50 parcels per week and 1 employee
• 2016: A larger storage space is needed. Move to new premises, 80m².
  500 parcels per week and 4 employees.
• 2017: We grow massively and move to Frankenmarkt into a 10x larger warehouse.
  4,000+ parcels per week and 15 employees.
• 2018: Although we have only just moved, our capacities are already stretched to the limit to meet the increasing demand from our customers. Thus, we create the next milestone at heimwerkertools.com and build our own company building with around 3,000 m² almost 4x bigger than before.
  Installation of a dedicated DHL container with direct delivery in Germany so that your orders still reach you quickly - including express shipping!
  6,000+ parcels per week and 25 employees.
• 2019: We continue to grow very strongly and serve our customers with more and more quality products and also building hardware for carpenters and joiners. We are already increasing our storage space again with an extension to our warehouse.
  8,000+ packages per week and over 30 employees.
• 2020: The Corona crisis has brought the next growth spurt for heimwerkertools.com. Lockdown and closed hardware shops, home improvement shops and professional home improvement shops require alternatives as demand in DIY & home improvement is soaring. As a pure-play e-commerce specialist, we offer our customers a huge selection and a professional, friendly service. Our customers also particularly appreciate our speed and delivery reliability!
• 2021: After more than 6 highly successful years and the expansion to a leading e-commerce specialist, the handover of the founder and managing director takes place. Markus Leitner takes over as managing partner.
• 2022: Further innovation and improved services for our customers: Thousands of new products, e.g. in the area of lighting solutions, flap fittings (such as Häfele Free Up or Blum Aventos HK Tip-on) or premium products from top brands such as Kreg or Viefe. We also offer many additional benefits such as "purchase on account" for our customers.
