The PIECE coat hook from Viefe combines minimalist design with an unusual design language. Inspired by the iconic silhouette of a chess piece, it looks like a small design object that harmoniously combines functionality and elegance. With a diameter of 48 mm, the hook blends discreetly into any interior, while its natural material mix of wood and cork provides warmth and character.
The base of the PIECE is made of either certified oak, walnut or black matt lacquered oak. The upper section made of recycled cork, available in a natural or dark brown finish, serves as a visual accent. This interplay of clear geometry and soft, organic materials makes the wall hook a versatile companion for the hallway, bedroom or living area. Thanks to its compact size, it can be used individually or arranged in a row and adds a stylish, distinctive touch to decorative projects.
Designed by Danish studio Steffensen & Würtz, the PIECE pays homage to the simplicity of Japanese ‘shogi’ pieces and the balanced proportions of Western chess pieces. The result is a timeless design that combines Scandinavian minimalist aesthetics with cultural influences. The wall hook is securely fastened with a screw and impresses not only with its function, but also with its subtle elegance - a real statement for stylish living.
