DIY project: Refreshing the look with stainless steel door handles

Old doors can be visually renewed with new door handles. If you want to install new door handles, you will need the following tools first:

• Cordless screwdriver,

• Slotted or Phillips screwdriver,

• Hex key,

• Drilling template.

The new door usually has a hole for the door handle, but additional holes need to be drilled for the door fitting itself.

The door should be secured first with a wedge. Then the square rod is inserted into the opening and the drilling template is attached around the square rod. Now you can see where and how big the holes need to be drilled.

After drilling, the protective plates are screwed on firmly. The square rod is then pulled out of the opening and the door lever is attached on one side. Then the square rod, along with the lever, is inserted back into the opening and you can attach the second lever horizontally to the square rod and fix it with screws.
